Georgian Adam Door Knocker – Polished Brass

A fine example of the ever-popular Georgian ‘Adam’ Door Knocker, crafted from solid unlacquered brass.

Shaped to resemble an Urn, the knocker is finely detailed with a large striker that makes a wonderful loud knock! The smaller shape allows the Knocker to be used where panels are narrower, or on slightly smaller entrance doors.

The knocker takes it’s name from designers Robert and James Adam, whose neo-classical style was extremely popular in the the 18th century.
